Grindle Washington

In April 1790 George Washington visited Long Island for five days, to thank the people for their assistance in the war. This meant it would be 200 years in April 1990.

The communities he visited celebrated in different ways.

The Amityville Historical Society decided to re-enact the lunch Washington had at the an inn in the Amityville/Copaigue area. For some reason they chose me to play George Washington. I am looking for more photos of this event.
